Reflections

During this year in school during Language Arts lessons, the two things that I find most valuable were the lessons on summary writing and poetry.

Before my LA teacher taught us about summary writing, I did not know much about it. I always thought that it was just a few lines of words at the back of a book. Until my LA teacher taught about it, I started to have a better understanding of it. When my LA teacher first talked about summary writing, I did not really care about it as I thought that it would be easy to write a summary. However, when we started to do the exercises that my LA teacher gave us, my mind went blank. What is this thing about? Why must there be so many points? How to para-phrase this? These were the things that I thought during then.

I once had a few lessons on poetry in primary school, then I thought that it was very complex. When my LA teacher started teaching us poetry, I still thought that it was very complex. But as my LA lessons progressed, most of the things soon came together and I started to understand poetry more.
